Volunteering is a rewarding experience that allows individuals to make a positive impact on the lives of others. As a member of the volunteer club at Thu Thua High School, I have had the privilege of participating in various volunteer activities in Long An province. In this article, I will discuss the benefits of being a volunteer and why it is one of the best things I can do with my life. First and foremost, volunteering gives me a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. Knowing that I am not wasting my time, but instead helping those who are in need, brings me great joy. Whether it is assisting at a local shelter, organizing events for underprivileged children, or cleaning up the environment, every act of volunteerism contributes to making the world a better place. Secondly, volunteer work provides valuable opportunities for adolescents to develop social skills. By interacting with people from different backgrounds and age groups, I have learned how to communicate effectively, work in a team, and empathize with others. These skills are essential for personal growth and will benefit me in my future endeavors. Moreover, volunteering allows individuals to explore new fields and discover their passions. Through my involvement in the volunteer club, I have had the chance to try out various roles and responsibilities. Whether it is teaching, organizing events, or providing support to those in need, each experience has helped me gain a better understanding of my strengths and interests. This exposure has been invaluable in shaping my career aspirations and guiding me towards the most suitable path. Last week, my club organized a trip to Bo De Phuong Duy school to engage in fun activities with the students. It was a heartwarming experience to see the smiles on their faces and witness the positive impact we had on their lives. This trip further reinforced my belief that the happiest people in the world are those who bring happiness to others. In conclusion, being a volunteer is not only a selfless act of kindness, but it also brings numerous benefits to the individual. From the sense of fulfillment and satisfaction to the development of social skills and the exploration of new fields, volunteering offers a wealth of opportunities for personal growth. I am grateful for the chance to be a part of the volunteer club at Thu Thua High School and I look forward to more opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others.
