John Woodley, a 10-year-old boy from Braunton, UK, has embarked on a remarkable fundraising journey by sleeping in a tent for an entire year. Inspired by his late friend Rick, who tragically lost his battle with cancer, John decided to honor his memory by raising money for the North Devon Hospice. From March 29th, 2020 to March 29th, 2021, John slept in his tent, only coming inside for lessons, eating, and washing. His goal was to raise £100, but his determination and the support of his community helped him surpass that target, raising over £105,590. The North Devon Hospice provides free care and support to patients and their families, including Rick and his wife.
