My True and False Sentences
1. I am currently studying English at university. (Present continuous) 2. I have traveled to five different countries. (Present perfect) 3. I play the guitar in a band. (Present simple) 4. I am allergic to peanuts. (Present simple) 5. I have never broken a bone. (Present perfect) 6. I can speak five languages fluently. (False sentence) In my group, we shared our sentences and tried to identify the false ones. It was interesting to hear about everyone's experiences and learn more about each other. Some sentences were easy to identify as true or false, while others required more discussion and questioning. For example, when I shared my sentences, my group quickly identified sentence 6 as false. They knew that it would be quite impressive to speak five languages fluently, and it seemed unlikely for someone of my age to have achieved that level of fluency. We had a good laugh about it and moved on to the next person's sentences. Overall, this activity was a fun way to practice using the present simple, present continuous, and present perfect tenses. It also helped us get to know each other better and build a sense of community within our group. I enjoyed hearing everyone's stories and learning more about their lives. It was a great opportunity to practice our speaking and listening skills while having a good time together. In conclusion, sharing our true and false sentences was a valuable exercise that allowed us to practice using different verb tenses and get to know each other better. It was a fun and engaging activity that helped us improve our language skills and build connections within our group. I look forward to more activities like this in the future.
